Encouraging girls to code
Foshay'sTech Tuesday
On March 24th, Foshay Learning Center Tech Seniors will be hosted the Tech Tuesday: Explore the Foshay Spirit event. The special event took place in the Miami Room located on Foshay’s campus.The Coding Girls, five Seniors in the Technology Academy at Foshay Learning Center, took part in a collaborative event. The event was to encourage and inspire young females, especially Latinas, to join computer science and technological fields.
The event included fun filled activities in which participants programed our human robots to make ice cream sundaes and/or nachos. It taught them specific procedures of coding in a fun interactive way.
Students will also be able to interact with our event on social media by following us on instagram and twitter .
This event was sponsored by the Technology Academy.
